Trinity Serves Day
March 20, 2010
Trinity Serves Day is our all church day of service, and one of the highlights of our year together! This year, on the morning of Saturday, March 20, we will disperse throughout the Atlanta community to work on meaningful projects. In 2009 we had almost 400 of our members and friends participating in this amazing day of service. In times like this, we all need to focus on the immense impact we can have in our community. By donating half a day on March 20, together we can make a difference in hundreds of lives.

Hygiene Kits and Baby Kits for Haiti
In the wake of the earthquake in Haiti, Trinity Church responded faithfully, both individually and as a congregation, sending dollars to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Through our offering plate we sent $23,000, and the Session voted to give $25,000 of which $5,000 will be used at La Gonave, the small Haitian island off the coast that is supported by the Haiti partnership of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.
But as the needs in Haiti continue, so do our opportunities to respond! The Trinity Serves Committee strives to create a myriad of service opportunities, responding to a wide variety of the world's needs. This year, in partnership with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and Church World Service, we will be assembling hygiene kits and baby kits to be sent to those who continue to suffer under the burden of disaster in Haiti. Assembly of the kits will happen on Trinity Serves Day, but collection of items starts now!
