High School International Trip Interest Meeting

Join us on Zoom to learn more about the summer 2024 High School International trip to Northern Ireland and Scotland. This trip challenges our students to deepen their cultural understanding and appreciation for historical contexts, ultimately contributing to the development of a more interconnected community of faith. During our time in Northern Ireland, we will delve into the complexities of religious reconciliation between Catholics and Protestants. This firsthand experience will provide them with a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of communities working towards unity. Our students will be staying at the Corrymeela Community in Ballycastle. This community, known for its commitment to peace and reconciliation, is Northern Ireland’s longest-established peace and reconciliation organization. For over fifty years, it has been bringing fractured communities together and guiding groups in the work of healing conflict.

In Scotland, students will walk the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, learning about John Knox and the Protestant Reformation while delving into the Scottish origins of the Presbyterian church. We will also explore historic sites such as Edinburgh Castle, St. Giles’ Cathedral, and Stirling Castle, offering a deep dive into the rich cultural and historical tapestry of this region.

If you are curious about whether this trip is the right fit for your student, we encourage you to come and learn more.
