Wedding Planning Checklist

When you get engaged:

Request a wedding date online or contact the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor to request a date, time, worship space, and clergyperson to officiate your wedding. Note that we do not reserve dates more than a year in advance.

When your requests are confirmed by the church, submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit online or by check in order to secure the requested date, time, worship space, and clergyperson. A member of the wedding committee will then be in touch with you to get more information about your wedding.

Three months before your wedding:

The clergyperson officiating your wedding will contact you to schedule six (6) hours of mandatory premarital counseling.

Two months before your wedding:

A wedding coordinator will contact you to schedule a walk-through and if needed, a meeting with the Director of Music.

30 days before your wedding (or sooner):

Signed agreements from all vendors who will be on the church campus for your wedding (florist, photographer, and videographer) are due to the church.

Pre-rehearsal Details

If you’re creating a printed wedding program, be sure to send a proof to your officiating clergyperson and the Director of Music for review before printing. Also, remember to bring your marriage license and printed programs to your wedding rehearsal.

Trinity offers exceptional music and the expertise of our Director of Music, who should be consulted on all music for a wedding service. Lists of music options and recordings of several samples are available below.

Trinity’s worship spaces are beautiful without any adornment, but you may use pew candles and flowers to personalize them. White paraments will be in place for weddings in the Sanctuary. Trinity has artificial flowers available for use for no additional charge. Many couples elect to work with a florist to add fresh flowers and unique color. Guidelines for florists are found in the florist agreement here: florist agreement form.

For a fee, a couple may choose to have a wedding service live streamed and/or purchase unedited video footage of the service. Many couples also work with outside photographers or videographers to document their weddings. Guidelines about spaces and timing for photography and videography for these vendors are available here: photographer agreement form and videographer agreement form.

Your Trinity wedding coordinator will work with you to establish arrival times for photographers, florists, and the wedding party, generally not sooner than 2.5 hours before the service begins. All photography and clean-up of florists’ material must be complete 30 minutes after the end of the service. Note that Trinity is a substance-free, weapons-free campus. Alcohol and drugs may not be brought onto campus and anyone who is visibly impaired will be asked to leave.

Yes! Trinity has ample parking. However, vehicles may not be left on campus after a wedding.

Music

Music deepens the experience of worship in a wedding service. Trinity’s Director of Music will play the organ and/or piano for weddings and must be consulted in planning all music and providing for any soloists or instrumentalists. Congregational hymns are encouraged as a way for the faith community to participate in worship but are not required. Excerpts of some organ recordings and a list of solos and hymns are included below, but the Director of Music is happy discuss other options with you as you plan your wedding.
